‘Cap buaya’ shoes

We went for our regular grocery shopping at Carrefour recently and we stumbled upon a rack full of the current shoe fad (for those in other parts of the world, sorry, we Malaysians are very backward and slow). Somewhat related to the late-Crocodile Hunter, the original Crocs shoes cost a hefty RM100+ but now we have Buatan Malaysia alternative……Buayas by Asadi (the manufacturer’s name itself a spin on the Adidas name).

Hubby suggested to get the shoes for me since I am pregnant and I need a lighter pair of shoes to walk (as if I’m a clumsy preggie mum). He was so excited and decided to look one for himself and Brae. After spending quite some time digging the whole pile of shoes, he finally found the smallest size for Brae. As for himself, he took the largest size available.

So we bought three pairs of Buayas for Daddykhong, Mummy and little champion. I find it weird when I wear the shoes, maybe because of the design but since it’s so comfortable and nice to wear, who cares! Furthermore, it’s so CHEAP at only RM12.90 per pair!

So now everyone knows how cheapskate daddykhong is and how lax intellectual property laws in Malaysia are.

Brae with his cute shoes. I can’t wait till he can walk!

Crocs family

Daddy and mummy have one each too!

Hehe. I’ve seen those shoes around, but never knew how much they cost. But I bought an Asadi ‘slingback’ slipper for Irfan from Cold Storage and he finds it weird wearing them. Haha!

Haha…me too. I find it weird too when I wear the shoes!

No cheapskate la, just support Buatan Malaysia LOL!

Buatan Malaysia is one thing, the quality is another thing to consider

Ya, you are right. We find that the quality of the Asadi shoes are not that bad.

I’m one of those stupids who bought the buaya original, that’s because I didn’t know sudah ada buatan M’sia!!! So, I’ll next Asadi next time when Justin’s outgrown his shoes.

We nearly bought the original one too.

Since everybody else like it and some even bought it, it must be really nice to wear. Now, I’m curious!

Try it. It feels like the original one except it’s fake lar.

If you read the chinese papers, 2 S’pore kids punya big toe kena kepit by escalator. One was sucked into the escalator belt. Cannot reattach. The other one was lucky.

Croc shoes suck, the imitation ones suck even more.
