Braedyn’s new tricks

After observing his parents going about their daily routine, Braedyn decided to join in. He can now:

Switch on the bedside CD player with the remote – no need to guess which button is the right one. Our little champion knows which one is the ON/OFF button, probably because it is situated away from the other buttons. He loves switching it on and off continuously because since the CD faces the user, he likes to see the CD spin before stopping it and vice versa. It is a matter of time before we send the player in for service.

Turn up the volume on the bedside radio clock – This one I really do not know how he learnt because we never use the radio clock as a source of music. Our antique National brand radio clock has a small knob for the volume so what Braedyn loves to do is to first switch on the radio (by pressing a button) then turning UP the volume by turning the knob. It’s always up and never down. After turning the volume to the max, he would turn around and give us a big grin! *Slap head*

Since Shayanne’s changing table is next to the bedside table, she’ll probably have an early onset of hearing failure. Girl, if you are old enough to read this, look for kor-kor when you need someone to pay for the hearing aid!

Lock himself inside the car using the remote – this one I’m not letting him have a 2nd attempt. The 1st one was scary enough . I normally let him play with the car keys and this time, the instant I closed my car door, he pressed LOCK on the remote. I didn’t realise anything until I walked over to his door and couldn’t open it. He was still sitting in his car seat holding the key in his grubby hands and I was thinking to myself, “Better coax him to press UNLOCK before he starts crying” because he’ll probably throw the keys away then. I kept asking him to “Press the button” and after the 5th time, he pressed UNLOCK. Thank heavens, there are three buttons on the car remote and Braedyn randomly presses them so I am happy he got the UNLOCK button first.

Nods yes and shakes no

Turn on the car CD player – Had to carry some stuff in the back of the car so I had to move Brae’s seat all the way front. He immediately reached forward and pressed the ON button on the CD player. On, off, on, off. Very observant kid, knows which button daddy presses to switch on the CD player.

Tastes his soap suds in the shower – Braedyn doesn’t seem to mind the taste of his Johnson’s baby bath. I am sure it would be bitter but he just gathers as much suds as he can in his hands and proceeds to stick his fingers into his mouth followed by a grin!

Wow, he’s learning fast πŸ˜€ The one thing I’m most afraid when my kids’ are the car is that they lock themselves up in the car with no one else there. And your Braedyn has already done it! Salute! LOL…
